CMD is proud to announce that its CMD22 gasoline engine in VLA-LSA categories received the EASA Type Certificate (TC).

The TC was obtained under the requirements of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in Cologne and was issued on January 12th, 2018 with the TC EASA.E.120 (CS-22 regulations).

CMD22 engine is an air-cooled 4-stroke, 4 cylinder horizontally opposed, equipped with a propeller reduction gearbox (ratio 1 : 2) and electronic engine control system for injection and  ignition. ECU has been wholly designed by CMD.

All CMD Avio staff hardly worked on whole engine’s process, from design concept till final product creation, taking care about all specific technical features to greatly achieve this success.
